Enjoyed some lovely meals recently, including brunch at @basaltwaikiki in Dukes Lane Market and Eatery. The avocado garden toast is one of the prettiest (and tastiest!) versions I’ve had. We also polished off a sizable stack of charcoal buttermilk pancakes with guava-strawberry sauce and whipped cream.

There are a few items I no longer buy from the gro

There are a few items I no longer buy from the grocery store because I’ve learned to make them at home. Granola is one of them. This batch features honey, coconut oil, walnuts, almonds, hemp seeds, and shavings from a Manoa Chocolate Breakfast Bar.

I finally attempted my own whipped “dalgona” c

I finally attempted my own whipped “dalgona” coffee today. I used instant espresso, which I keep on hand for baking (I know that alters the flavor from the original recipe). I think I prefer brewing my own coffee and adding simple syrup and frothed milk since I have more control over the ratios. Still, this was fun to try! ☕️
